Practical Data Processing – Vocational (No. 8966)
This is appropriate for those learners seeking a qualification in the use of database software. The qualification tests the learners’ abilities to demonstrate practical skills in the use of standard data processing software to produce accurate and well-presented documents, using a range of activities.
Learners should have appropriate computer and keyboarding skills.
At level 1 (elementary), learners will apply their skills in a range of areas, including:
- preparing a database for use
- adding new records from a range of source documents
- amending fields, selecting records and printing documents.
Level 2 (intermediate) covers:
- setting up a new databas
- entering and saving data
- sorting records and printing records in an appropriate layout and more.
